Welcome to I Am That Chic, a transformational youth empowerment organization created specifically for young ladies 5th grade and up. We exist to help girls navigate the journey from adolescence to womanhood with confidence, purpose, resilience, and a strong understanding of their worth.
In a world that constantly tells young women who they should be, I Am That Chic helps them discover who they were created to become.
Our Signature Framework
Our signature framework focuses on four powerful areas:
Healed
Creating safe spaces for girls to acknowledge life experiences, disappointments, rejection, insecurity, peer pressure, and emotional challenges while learning healthy ways to process, grow, and move forward.
Intentional
Teaching young ladies to make purposeful choices about their friendships, behavior, education, goals, relationships, social media presence, and future. Your choices today help shape the woman you become tomorrow.
Crowned
Reminding every young lady that she has value, purpose, potential, and a future worth pursuing. Being 'crowned' isn't about wearing a physical crown—it's about learning to carry yourself like you know your worth.

LaTasha Demps
Founder & Creator of I Am That Chic
With 28 years of experience in education and more than 30 years of youth leadership, LaTasha Demps has dedicated her life to helping young people learn, grow, discover their potential, and understand that their circumstances do not have to determine their future.
As an educator, mentor, leader, and youth advocate, LaTasha understands that today's young ladies are facing challenges that require more than motivation—they need guidance, connection, encouragement, accountability, and someone willing to believe in them.
That understanding became the heart behind I Am That Chic. LaTasha created I Am That Chic to give young ladies a space where they can talk, learn, laugh, heal, dream, build confidence, and become intentional about the woman they are becoming.

What is I Am That Chic?
More than a workshop. It's an experience.
Our programs combine real conversations, interactive activities, mentorship, personal development, leadership development, goal setting, team-building, creative expression, and life skills to address the real issues young ladies face today.

Young Ladies — 5th Grade and Up
Designed for girls from 5th grade through high school, I Am That Chic meets young ladies where they are and gives them tools to navigate where they're going.
